Dataset contributions
Optional, per-item consent to contribute de-identified material to the OncoRadar research dataset: what is shared, the CC BY 4.0 default license, attribution, withdrawal and no re-identification.
Operator: Celiums Solutions, LLC
1. Purpose and status
These Terms govern the optional contribution of de-identified material to the OncoRadar research dataset operated by Celiums Solutions, LLC. Contribution is never required to use OncoRadar and is not part of the general acceptance of the Terms of Service or other notices. Each contribution is an explicit, per-item opt-in with its own consent record. These are operational draft terms pending legal review, not legal advice.
2. What is contributed
A contribution consists only of de-identified derivatives produced by the OncoRadar de-identification pipeline from an upload, conversation or finding you select: de-identified text, masked pages and images, de-identified DICOM with pseudonymous ids and shifted dates, and associated labels such as document type, cancer type, modality, biomarker labels, standardized clinical codes and pattern findings. Original files, identifiers, account details, chat text that has not been redacted, and anything the pipeline held for review are never contributed.
3. Your authority and representations
By contributing an item you represent that you have the legal authority to make the de-identified derivative available for research reuse under the stated license, including any ownership, license, institutional, ethics-board or consent basis your jurisdiction requires; that the material was uploaded through the upload flow; and that you are not aware of any identifier that survived de-identification. If you later learn of such an identifier, withdraw the item and contact the privacy address.
4. License
Unless the consent dialog for a specific item states a different license at the time of contribution, contributed de-identified derivatives are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). This default is under review by the operator and may be replaced for future contributions; the license shown and recorded at the moment of consent governs that item. You grant the operator the rights needed to prepare, quality-check, host, version and distribute the contributed derivative under that license.
5. Attribution
Dataset users must attribute the OncoRadar research dataset and the dataset version they used, following the license. Contributors are not individually named by default; the dataset credits its contributors collectively. A contributor may request named attribution, which the operator may honor where it does not risk re-identification of any person appearing in the material.
6. Withdrawal
You may withdraw a contribution at any time from the workspace or by contacting the privacy address. Withdrawal removes the item from future dataset copies and deletes the snapshot held for distribution. Dataset versions already distributed under the license may persist in the hands of their recipients and cannot be recalled by the operator. Account deletion withdraws all of your pending and active contributions.
7. No re-identification
Contributors, the operator and dataset users must not attempt to re-identify any person from contributed material, to link it with other data for that purpose, or to contact a person believed to appear in it. Any attempt is a breach of these Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy and may result in removal from the dataset and suspension of access.
8. Quality review
The operator may review contributed items for residual identifiers, quality, licensing and relevance; may run additional automated de-identification checks; may hold, exclude, correct labels of, or delete an item; and may decline any contribution without stating a reason. Acceptance into a dataset version does not certify that an item is free of identifiers or clinically valid. Dataset content describes research patterns and is not medical advice.
9. How consent is recorded
Each contribution records the item contributed, the version and content hash of these Terms as displayed in the consent dialog, the license shown, the time, a request id and your locale. The record is kept as a legal record for as long as reasonably needed to establish and defend legal rights and to evidence withdrawal. Because consent is recorded per item and per version of these Terms, a later version of these Terms does not change the license of an item contributed under an earlier version.
10. Contact and updates
Questions about the dataset, attribution or withdrawal may be sent to privacy@oncoradar.org; legal questions to legal@oncoradar.org. Material updates will receive a new version or effective date and apply only to contributions made after that date. No governing law, venue, mailing address or arbitration forum should be inferred from this draft.
