Research information only
OncoRadar is a conversational oncology research platform. The research assistant plans literature searches, stores every retrieved record in the catalog and writes source-grounded answers with cited study ids, a verification pass and stated limitations. Content is informational and may omit studies, updates, retractions, corrections or context. Ranking, retrieval relevance and verification scores do not establish scientific quality, clinical validity or consensus. Findings describe research patterns across literature and de-identified material; they are never diagnoses.
Not medical advice
Nothing in OncoRadar is medical, nursing, pharmacy, diagnostic, treatment or emergency advice. It does not create a clinician-patient relationship. Patients and caregivers should consult qualified professionals; emergencies require local emergency services. Professionals remain responsible for independent clinical judgment and applicable standards.
Uploads and de-identification
Documents, images and DICOM imaging may be uploaded only through the upload flow. Uploads are encrypted with a customer-managed key, the original is readable only by an isolated processing role and is retained 30 days by default, and an automated de-identification pipeline removes or replaces identifiers before any model or reviewer sees content (DICOM PS3.15 basic profile with date shifting and pseudonymous ids; OCR, identifier detection and rule-based redaction for text and images; burned-in text masking). Only de-identified derivatives are used by models, shown in the viewer or eligible for the dataset, and text typed into the chat is redacted for identifiers before storage.
Automated de-identification is not perfect: handwriting, unusual layouts, identifiers embedded in pixels outside sampled frames or in languages the detectors do not cover may survive processing. Items the pipeline cannot clear are held for review rather than treated as clean. You must have the legal authority to upload the material, must not attempt re-identification, and must not use OncoRadar for individual patient care. OncoRadar is not offered as a clinical data service; a Business Associate Agreement with our cloud provider is being put in place, but that agreement is not a certification, OncoRadar does not claim HIPAA compliance certification, and these documents do not by themselves create a business associate relationship between you and the operator.
Generated output limitations
Generative systems can hallucinate, conflate evidence, miss qualifiers, repeat bias, produce non-unique text or cite a source incorrectly. The verification pass checks generated statements against retrieved records but can miss errors. Always open authoritative sources, confirm quotations and licenses, inspect methods and statistics, and obtain appropriate expert review before publication or action.
Models and retrieval
The current implementation uses an embedding model and a catalog and retrieval engine for literature, a research language model hosted in our cloud provider for planning and writing, a calibrated decision model that receives only de-identified text or literature, and OCR, identifier-detection and medical imaging services from our cloud provider. Role descriptions describe technology, not endorsement or operation of OncoRadar by any provider; providers are named only in the Subprocessor Notice.
No guaranteed completeness
Availability, source coverage, indexing, model behavior, de-identification coverage and links change. OncoRadar does not guarantee that any output is complete, current, safe, non-infringing or suitable for a specific research protocol, regulatory submission or clinical purpose.
